Our Wheat2017-01-23T15:54:01+00:00
Together with our customers, we create functional wheat-based products which ensure greater efficiency, performance and quality in a wide range of sectors and industries.

The strength and versatility of nature.

As a sustainable raw material, wheat forms the basis of all our work. Created from sunlight, earth, water and seeds, wheat unites the combined forces of nature. This vitality and strength is demonstrated in each of our solutions. Solutions made from innovative ideas that serve the interests of our customers. It is our mission to use the opportunities provided by wheat to develop and improve them for our customers. This focus on what is most important is what has made Crespel & Deiters one of Europe‘s leading specialists in the separation of wheat and the refinement and processing of its constituent parts into customised products, creating added value for customers in various industries both in the food and non-food sectors when it comes to manufacturing their products.

Wheat is our basis for the development of high-performance products. In doing so we fully utilise the ingredients of the grain, making use of all its constituent parts. because each constituent part has its own properties and possible applications.

The wheat starch, for example, forms resistant, solid gels, is highly stable during processing and can be used in various ways in the food and non-food sectors.

Wheat gluten, the protein in wheat, is particularly important for its baking properties and also improves the nutritional quality of foods.

First, the wheat is ground. The wheat endosperm is then broken down into its constituent parts by adding fresh spring water and energy. This mixture is then sieved and centrifuged to obtain the wheat starches, proteins, fibres and extracts. The products obtained in this way are refined in further processing steps such as mixing, extrusion and modification into highly functional products customised for our customers.
